Terms of Service for Onyx Pixel Products in Second Life

Thanks for actually reading this. I promise, it’ll be as short and painless as possible.

In purchasing and using these meshes and/or materials you agree to the following:

Allowed

  • You may use these meshes, materials and textures in your own Second Life builds.
  • You may price your builds using these meshes, materials and textures however you like, including giving them away for free in limited offers (ie. group gifts, lucky chairs, hunts). Limited offers must last less than 2 months.
  • You may sell or give away your builds using these meshes, materials and textures with modify/copy, modify/transfer, copy only or modify only permissions.

Not Allowed

  • You must not use these meshes, materials or textures in any way that violates the Second Life Terms of Service or Community Standards.
  • You must not use or sell these meshes, materials or textures outside of Second Life (other licenses may be available in the future, but for now please contact me if you would like to make arrangements to use these meshes or materials elsewhere).
  • You must not sell or give away these meshes, materials or textures with full permissions or copy/transfer permissions. Anything you distribute that uses these meshes must be either NO COPY or NO TRANSFER (or both).
  • You must not sell these meshes, materials or textures as is without adding them to a larger build or significantly modifying them, regardless of permissions. Please use your creativity and either add these building materials to your own more complex builds and/or change them significantly with by adding or editing textures, scripts or materials or linking them together or to other prims or meshes before selling them.

Suggested

  • Please be respectful in your pricing using these building materials. Giving my work and yours away as unlimited, permanent freebies or pricing them very cheaply can devalue our time and work. Limited time group/promotional/hunt gifts are fine, but permanent freebies aren’t.
  • It is suggested that you make the root prim (the last one selected when linking) one that you created, even if it’s just a transparent square or base. Doing this makes you show up as the creator of the object and makes it easier for your customers to contact you for questions or support.
